From the journal:
I am shown New York City as it will be in the future. At the same time as it appears to be the city itself, it also seems to be a scale model. The reason is that a man wishes to tell me something about the future of New York, and while telling it, he illustrates his words with a demonstration. He says,
"They who are here will be gone.
Those whom many believed did not exist, will take their place."
When he says these things, he flicks at various buildings with his fingers. As a result, the buildings crumble and decay. Their inhabitants die or move out, leaving the buildings abandoned.
The man does this to many city blocks, never stopping, and each time, the same thing occurs. The building falls apart and is abandoned. He indicates that this is the fate of the entire city.
Then I see some people moving into the destroyed hulks left behind. They are like derelicts or vagrants. They occupy the old buildings, but in much smaller numbers than before. If a building once housed a hundred people, it now had ten.
An added detail not in the original record:
One thing not mentioned here is that I had the distinct impression there was no electricity in the city. This was one of the major reasons it was almost deserted. Without power, there was no heating, plumbing, refrigeration, or working elevators. This made the large luxury skyscrapers nearly uninhabitable. I also remember seeing people making fires on marble floors in the lobbies of big buildings to keep warm.
Comment:
This dream features a character that appears to be aware that he is talking about the future . His message is stated simply but powerfully, with a symbolic representation of the city that falls apart from decay over time, as opposed to suddenly due to injury. My impression in the dream was of a city that lacked the people needed to perform maintenance on the many structures it contained.
This dream meets my definition of a “prophetic” dream, as opposed to the more numerous “precognitive” dreams found in my journals. The difference between the two is that precognitive dreams are experienced from my perspective, as if I am in the future myself, experiencing an event as if I am a part of it. A “prophetic” dream is experienced as a message delivered to me by someone else. In that type of dream, the messenger sometimes makes reference to my sleeping state by saying it is important I remember the dream when I wake. Sometimes, I am also aware that I am sleeping.
Unambiguous symbolic content is rare in my dreams but significantly more common within prophetic dreams. Symbols are not present in precognitive dreams. As I define them, a “symbol” improves the quality and efficiency of a message, much as a company logo, a symbol, can stand in as a representation of the company. In this dream, the messenger gave a symbolic demonstration of the city crumbling as if by decay, as he flicked his fingers at it. The movement of flicking his fingers showed that the buildings were in such disrepair that very little was required to cause full collapse.
At the time I had this dream, I lived in a 5,000 square foot house in Phoenix, Arizona. I spent my time painting landscapes, like the image below. New York City was not on my mind.
I made the sketch you see at the top of this post in 2011, several years after the dream. At the time, I had decided to make sketches of a number of dreams I found interesting. By then, I was living in the Netherlands, working on my PhD remotely for King’s College, London, and teaching computer graphics at an academy I co-founded. I still couldn’t imagine how this dream could represent a real future state of New York City.
The impression left by the dream was so strong that it was never far from my mind. It came up at odd moments, when I wasn’t thinking of anything else, as a reminder that it meant something, even if I didn’t quite understand it yet. This, by the way, is not a matter of “understanding” an obscure and imprecise element. I knew exactly what the message was and what it meant. What I didn’t understand was how it could possibly happen. The issue here wasn’t a matter of interpretation but of logistics. How do you make the population of a large city disappear? That is the question that crowded my thoughts whenever this dream came to mind.
I also wondered who the people were that the man in the dream referred to as, “those whom many believed did not exist.” How would these people replace the others, though in smaller numbers?
Today, I can see how this scenario could unfold. Starting in 2020, the world trembled as it was announced that a deadly plague, covid-19, had invaded the world. Countries shut their borders, told everyone to stay at home, and never mind the consequences. Never mind that the lockdowns themselves killed people and destroyed economies. Never mind that covid-19 wasn’t as dangerous as it was purported to be, or that discouraged treatments (hydroxychloroquine and ivermectin) worked well, while reccommended remedies (remdesiveir and ventilators) were deadly.
The lockdowns and associated effects started the process of reducing populations worldwide but nowhere as much as in New York City, where death tolls were reported to be the highest. The second wave of the disaster unfurled with the rollout of substances labelled “vaccines”. These neither prevented transmission of covid-19, nor innoculated against infection. What they did seem to accomplish was to increase myocarditis, pericarditis, stroke, and other deadly maladies. The people killed by the vaccine-labelled products is unknown due to widespread suppression of that information but the damage appears to be vast.
A third element to the disaster were elections in the US and in other countries that many believe were fraudulent. One result of this in the state and city of New York is an ongoing exodus of residents. Regardless whether you think there were problems with the way covid-19 was presented, the “vaccines”, or the election, many others do perceive problems with all of those things and are acting on those beliefs by leaving New York City.
In their place, illegal aliens, a type of person that some political groups steadfastly refuse to acknowledge, have been moved into New York City and other large cities around the country.
The situation is particularly worrisome because of family conections in New York. I have hoped for the past 11 years that I wouldn’t see this dream come true. Now, as each day passes, the dream and the reality become ever more similar. So far, this is no more than a slow-moving trend, though it is in the direction foretold by the dream. To reach the target, a catastrophic failure of infrastructure is required. With people falling over dead of sudden onset heart attack, this is no longer an inconceivable possibility. A city like New York can only afford to lose so many sanitation workers, sewer workers, electricians, police, firemen, hospital staff, and other essential personnel. When that threshold is reached, the city will not be able to support the population it has now. If that happens, people will have to leave.
I don't know how closely you are following the twists and turns of this particular plot, but the more we find out about the jabs the more prophetic your dream seems to be.
