Sometimes, it's difficult to wake up
From the journal, January 3, 2008
I’m in a large mansion as a guest (or so I think). Several people come up to me in the dream and ask me to do things, and all related to the same thing: selling an artifact that is called something like “Templar Knight”, but I don’t think it is an entire man in armor. It is something else.
My impression is that it is a machine related to a chronograph, and extremely ancient. Maybe it was “temporal night”? These people kept telling me that it has all been arranged, that this thing is coming. A woman comes to get me, and then introduces me to a couple of men. They ask me to follow them outside to see something they have in their vehicle.
They open a locker in their trunk to reveal all sorts of catalogs and brochures, not one of which has one of these gadgets that everyone is talking about. At this point, my impression is that I have agreed to market the Templar knight/temporal night thing (whatever it is). So when it arrives, though it isn’t mine, I will be presenting it to the people.
One of the men asks me if I know what the knight is. I start to answer, but then give up and admit I have no idea. These men, like all the others, are excited about the scheduled arrival of the knight, and want me to know what it is so I can do my job better. Earlier when I was trying to describe it, I tried drawing a skull in armor, but this was totally wrong so I scratched it out.
After I say that I don’t know what it is, I am suddenly in a different room with these two men as they have a conference. There is someone else present, but I can’t see him. He is very powerful and authoritative, and his voice totally fills the room as he tells of the arrival of the knight/night. He says something else that is curious: he has judged something and found it wanting, so the judgment is against someone, though it is my impression it went against a lot of people at once, like a company going out of business. The company is the entity judged, but it is the company’s many employees that lose their jobs.
So I’m listening to all this, wondering what it all has to do with me, despite having been personally invited to witness the meeting. Next thing I know, I’m back on Earth (and just realized I wasn’t beforehand). A man is there with a document to show me. He opens it up and starts reading. It all has to do with time, God, the nature and relationship of time and God, and God to time.
What I see on the paper is a fixed schedule of events that even God will not alter. It does appear to have some flexibility, but only because this is God’s schedule. So this guy is telling me that a series of events will take place at God’s command and then shortly afterwards, he will personally arrive on Earth. I should say he showed me that part because I saw it written in the pages. Then he says something like, “This is because Time is not relative to God, but God is relative to Time.”
What I understood he meant by this is that either: 1) After creating Time, God was satisfied to allow it to remain unaltered, thereby granting it a fixed or absolute value, or 2) Time, though a part of God’s creation, once created, is independent. I favor answer number one, but both are just my understanding anyway.
The other half was explained a little further. My impression is that it means God’s schedule for all these events that will take place is fixed and has been fixed since the beginning of time, but that his actions at these appointed times may vary, depending on circumstances.
This last bit is pretty easily understood to mean that if the behavior of humans at these times is good or evil, he will respond accordingly at the time of the appointment.
Comments
This dream is an example of a type of dream where I am “asleep” within the dream. That is, I am unaware of the dream environment and try to understand it in the context of waking reality. At the same time, characters in the dream try to wake me up within the dream by telling or showing me things that will cause me to realize that I am asleep.
In this dream, there are at least two significant items that I misunderstand. The first is the concept of “selling”, the other is the nature of the thing I am to “sell”. Last, the concept of “time” plays a role of some kind but I don’t understand what that role might be.
It seems that the characters in the dream can tell that I don’t understand what is going on because they try to explain it to me. This doesn’t work, so two others, presumably specialists in this type of communication, are called in. They bring me to their vehicle, which contains catalogs. Catalogs are used to sell things, so it makes sense that if I am to sell a thing, it would be in one of the catalogs. The catalogs are comprehensive. They contain every single thing that has ever been made available to sell. The “Templar Knight” isn’t among them. What this should have told me is that the Templar knight is not a thing nor is it for sale.
Instead, I remain confused. After this effort fails, the two men take me to another place, presumably to take more forceful measures. They discuss the problem posed by my inability to comprehend what they are trying to explain with their superior. The “superior” behaves in a manner consistent with being God.
The superior says he has judged something, found it wanting, and that he won’t alter the timeline of his response. Then, I am back in the previous location and one of the two men reads out a similar message written on paper, again, in an effort to ensure that I understand.
Looking back on this now, I think the message is this:
I was given this message as a warning to pass on to others
My error was to interpret “passing on the message” as a form of marketing, or “selling”.
The real Templar knights, or “Knights Templar” was an order of knights organized for the purpose of defending Christians in the holy land. They were headquartered in the Temple Mount in Jerusalem.
The concept of a “templar knight” makes sense in the context of defending Christianity. It could also apply more broadly to those who are obedient to God, which would include other religions as well.
This could refer to a person who would defend the faithful against the forces arrayed against them, to carry out God’s punishment for disobedience.
It may be that by writing about the dream here, or telling people about it, I am fulfilling the duty given to me in the dream: to warn others that nothing will stop the judgment to come, and that it is coming.
